Even if all of them are spectacular, there is one that has already  received a special mention in this blog: GETARIA. And since Josetxo Pérez Fernández and Pedro Domecq have created the 3D portrait  we can see this nice place in the Basque Country in a different way. Good work!

Valentine´s Day

The best and most beautiful things in the world can't be seen, nor touched, but are felt in the heart.

SIGHTSEEING THE CANTABRIAN COASTLINE

There is a village, Getaria, in Gipuzkoa (Basque Country) which is surrounded by the sea and mountains.
It´s the birthplace of such famous names as fashion designer Cristobal Balenciaga and Juan Sebastian Elcano, the first navigator to sail around the world and whose monument stands at the entrance to the village. The center of Getaria is located on a narrow strip of land that reaches out to the sea and ends in Mount San Antón, commonly known as the "Mouse of Getaria".
It´s absolutely necessary to visit the Museum of Balenciaga and the Church of San Salvador (15th century).
This Church is one of the most beautiful architectural works in Basque Country. It´s situated in the heart of the ancient streets.You can also enjoy with delightful grill and fish restaurants there.

IMMIGRANTS AND EDUCATION FOR ADULTS

This is Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan. I want to share some feelings through this Chatterbox plataform.


When I came here in Azkoitia, which is a town in the Basque Country, I was little bit confused and I was thinking about the atmosphere and attitude of the people. I wondered how they will  deal with me. But I feel lot of pleasure and satisfaction after living in this area. I have to say that this is a very fine place. People are charming. And atmosphere is also very attractive, neat and clean.


In the beginning, I cannot talk in the local language; so I feel some difficulties. In this regard, there are some schools for Adults almost in every village or towns where you can learn the local language as well as other subjects. 


As you can see, I have also joined in one of that, called CEPA Urola-Kosta, especially to improve communication skills. I have  very good experience and I`m enjoying too much during taking the classes. The teaching staff of this school is very good. The education system is very productive, constructive, helpful and easy for the students. We feel that there are very friendly circumstances to get the language education here as teaching staff has very positive and cooperative attitude and behavior for the students. The teachers are teaching us in such a way that every student feels no hesitation and in a short time we´ll be able to communicate efficiently and effectively. I am too much impressed after getting admision in this school. I hope language becomes easy for me too.

IT IS A PERFECT DAY

It’s the time for grand celebrations, parties, resolutions and welcoming the New Year with new hopes, new wishes and new life with open arms and beautiful smiles. It is New Year’s celebration time! All countries using the Gregorian calendar observe January 1 as the New Year’s Day. The month of December is actually sets in the mood of parties; beginning with Christmas and Christmas Eve parties to New Year’s it is a time to say good-bye to the passing year and sailing in happily into the New Year. 


Whether it is fireworks at Rio de Janeiro, Sydney Harbor or New York’s Time Square, all place around the world draw millions of people in the celebrations. Australia is one of the first to celebrate New Year’s because of the time zone difference. 31st December, the New Year’s Eve is party day for young and old. People come out on the streets and like a one big family enjoy the festivities and the spirit of the day. Various cultures and religions have their own New Year dates and ways of celebrations. For instance the Chinese New Year also known as the Lunar New Year occurs every year on the new moon of the first lunar month, few weeks before spring. In India too diverse religious groups celebrate New Year on different dates. The Bengali and the Punjabi new year is on ‘Poila Baisakh’ and ‘Baisakhi’ respectively. Children born on the January 1 are called the New Year’s babies and the whole world celebrates their birthday with great pomp and show. 


People make a kits of resolutions that they desire to fulfill in the coming year, like giving up some of the bad habits and trying to live up to the good ones. It is that time of the year when everyone comes together, people of all religions, cultures and countries welcome this day together with new love and hope. There are lot of New Year’s gifts, greetings and cards available in the market to wish your near and dear one’s a very Happy and a Prosperous New Year. Go and buy that New Year e-card not just for friends and family but also for your corporate clients and associates. It is a perfect day to remember all and wish prosperity, success and happiness for one and all.
